Mayor Ben Walsh will deliver his second State of the City Address on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Redhouse arts center at 400 S. Salina St.
The mayor will give an overview of his first year in office and look ahead to coming years.
The annual address is mandated by the city charter, which requires the mayor to present a report to the Common Council in the first month of each year.
Last year’s address took place at the Public Service Leadership Academy at Fowler High School. Walsh talked at length about the decision on Interstate 81, the city’s dire financial outlook and education.
The event is open to the public. Free parking will be available at the city center parking garage at 520 S. Clinton St. and in the lot at 484 S. Salina St.
