SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The City of Syracuse Department of Public Works (DPW) is establishing formal Saturday hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its Canal Street Residential Yard Waste Drop-off Site. The new Saturday hours begin on April 6. DPW is also revising Monday through Friday hours at the site to 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accommodate drop-offs later in the day.
“We appreciate residents who bring their yard waste directly to us,” said Jeremy Robinson, DPW commissioner. “We will have staff onsite to ensure the area is used by city residents and drop-offs happen in a way that keeps the site accessible and safe for others.”
The Yard Waste Site is located on the access road to the DPW complex, accessible from South Midler Avenue between Interstate 690 and Erie Boulevard. Residents can drop off brush, branches, and leaves. Plastic bags are not permitted.
