Mayor, County Executive and famed SU coaches deliver PSA message urging Syracuse to stand together to slow the virus

Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse’s best known coaches are lending their voices to the community’s fight against COVID-19. Syracuse University’s Dino Babers, Jim Boeheim and Quentin Hillsman teamed up with Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh and Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon for a new public service announcement that urges the Syracuse community to be a team in slowing down the spread of COVID-19.

The :30 PSA was shot in five separate segments at Manley Field House. Around a common theme of “We are a team,” the five leaders urge people in Syracuse and Onondaga County to do their part to battle the pandemic: wash hands; practice social distancing; stay home; and keep informed. Mayor Walsh closes the spot saying,”Help us work toward our shared goal of a healthy safe Central New York.”

Media in Syracuse have been offered the PSA to run on their platforms. You can see it here.

Thank you, Coaches, Babers, Boeheim, and Hillsman for supporting our community again.
