Walsh family lays wreath at Greenway Veterans’ Memorial Park
Singing birds and the hum of light traffic replaced the music and laughter of the annual Eastwood Memorial Day Parade as Mayor Walsh paid respects to the those who sacrificed their lives for our country.
The Mayor and his family laid a wreath with red, white and blue ribbons and chrysanthemums at the base of the granite monument at Greenway Veterans’ Memorial Park. The triangular space is the traditional site of a Memorial Day ceremony following the parade, which was cancelled this year due to COVID-19.
