Illegal Fireworks

The City of Syracuse Department of Neighborhood and Business Development will host the “Fireworks Usage in the City of Syracuse” webinar to share survey results and action steps taken to prevent the illegal use of fireworks throughout the City. In anticipation of fireworks activities leading up to the fourth of July holiday, members of the community are invited to join the virtual presentation to learn more about the local and state laws, type, and size of fireworks that can be used.

The presentation will be held via WebEx on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. Speakers include representatives from the Syracuse Police Department, Syracuse Fire Department, and Department of Law. The public can join the meeting online ( http://syrgov.webex.com/meet/cjordan) or by phone (number: 1-408-418-9388; access code/meeting number: 711 059 884).

An information sheet is available, summarizing the kind of consumer fireworks that can be used to celebrate without hurting the quality of life in neighborhoods across the City.
