Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh today announced a milling (road surface removal) and paving project scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Aug. 25 on South Avenue, from Glenwood to Mitchell Avenues. The work will occur on the uphill section of South Avenue heading south toward the City of Syracuse line. Road repair crews will mill on both Wednesday and Thursday, and will start paving on Friday, Aug. 28. The project is expected to resume and be completed on Monday, Aug. 31.

Flaggers will maintain traffic control on the hill throughout the duration of the project.
