City of Syracuse offices will be closed on Friday, Oct. 30, the first of four employee furlough days scheduled to offset the fiscal impact of COVID-19 on city government. Emergency services and essential operations will not be impacted by the closure. Trash and recycling collection will operate according to the regular schedule.
The Department of Public Works yard waste self-drop off site will be closed to the public on Friday. The site will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which is also the last day city residents can dispose of yard waste for the remainder of the year.
The City Payment Center self-service options to make online payments for parking tickets and property taxes will still be available. Payments will also be accepted at the City Payment Center Drop Box, located on the Market Street side of City Hall.
