The City of Syracuse Department of Water is scheduled to begin a valve installation project on Friday, Nov. 27 on Montgomery Street, from E. Fayette Street to Erie Boulevard E. The project is scheduled to be completed within 24 hours, weather permitting. Water service will be impacted beginning at 8 a.m. and is expected to be restored at approximately 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Water shutoffs and street closures are scheduled to occur on the following blocks:

  • Montgomery Street, from E. Fayette Street to Erie Boulevard E.
  • E. Washington Street, from S. Warren Street to S. State Street
  • Erie Boulevard E., from N. Salina Street to S. State Street
  • N. State Street, from Erie Boulevard E. to James Street

Montgomery Street will be closed to traffic from Erie Boulevard E. to Water Street. Residents and businesses in the area in need of emergency water resources during the shutoff period can call 211. Water service emergencies can be reported to 315-448-8360.
