The City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs will provide residents with the opportunity to register online for 2021 summer youth programs after a year-long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Online registration for summer youth programs will begin on Saturday, June 5 at 8 a.m. on Syracuse.recdesk.com. Walk-in registrations will be accepted at the Parks main office, located at 412 Spencer Street, on Monday, June 8 for programs with space remaining.
“We know how important the summer parks and recreation experience is for children. While timing did not permit us to offer our full menu of camp opportunities, we are elated to begin welcoming children back and I am pleased with what the team has put together,” said Parks Commissioner Julie LaFave.
For a full list of offerings, visit Syracuse.recdesk.com and click on “Programs.” Under “Youth Programs” viewers have the option to filter programs by category. Categories include: Leagues and Competitions, Learning Programs, Sports Clinics, and Weekly Playground Programs. Residents can click on each session for a complete program description, including the date, time, location, and fee, if applicable.
The weekly Summer Playground Program sessions are limited to city residents only. All other programs are open to city and non-city residents.
The following health and safety precautions will be taken at this time and registered participants will be notified of updates:
- If your child is not feeling well, we ask that they stay home.
- Masks must still be worn at all times, except when drinking or eating.
- Participants will be placed into small groups for daily activities.
