Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced a road reconstruction project on Cortland Avenue on the City’s south side. Crews will mill (remove the top layer of existing pavement) and repave Cortland Avenue, from South Avenue to Midland Avenue, beginning Wednesday, July 28.

The project is expected to be completed in about seven days. The road will be closed to all traffic during active milling and paving but will reopen at other times. Detours will be marked. Actual project start dates and timeframes are contingent on favorable weather.
