Mayor Walsh announced the final phases of milling and paving begins Monday, Sept. 13 on S. Salina Street from Adams Street to Washington Street. The project follows more than a year of reconstruction that has included significant “dig once” work on underground utilities.

Parking along Salina Street in the project area is suspended during the work, which is expected to be completed by the end of this week. Traffic will remain open during the project but lane access will be restricted. Actual timeframes are contingent on favorable weather.

Additional work on ADA compliant corners, restoration of the snow shelf at the curb line and road striping will require further short-term lane and parking restrictions in the weeks ahead. Salina Street road reconstruction work will continue north of Fayette Street this fall.
