In Syracuse, a coalition of organizations presented demands to Mayor Walsh and City of Syracuse leadership called “The People’s Agenda for Police Reform.” These are their demands and the City’s response.

Since taking office in 2018 Mayor Walsh has been committed to police reform and taking steps to strengthen police-community relations and accountability. His Executive Order No. #1 actions outline bold and fast changes to advance police reform in Syracuse. Every action and its updates are shared to be a transparent measure of the city’s progress.
